KUWAIT, Sept 11 (KUNA) -- The State of Kuwait hosted on Thursday the 17th meeting of the permanent committee of the strategic security planning in the GCC countries, on sidelines of a workshop for drawing up the GCC strategy to handle money laundering.
The Ministry of Interior said in a statement the meeting grouped representatives of interior ministries of the GCC states, the back-up secretariat for GCC security affairs and police, held under chairmanship of the Jurist Brigadier General Salem Al-Ajmi, with participation of a delegation from the ministry headed by Colonel Abdulaziz Al-Barrak.
The convening officers discussed a host of topics, namely follow-up on the joint security strategies and challenges, revamping the coordination and inclusion mechanisms among the security apparatuses of the GCC countries and means of dealing with regional and international security challenges.
The meeting was held in line with the GCC efforts to boost the joint security tasks, bolster the unified Gulf strategy for safeguarding the council's countries security and stability. (end) ajr.rk
