MANAMA, Sept 9 (KUNA) -- Bani Jamra Textile Factory, renovated by Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, is a destination that introduces generations and visitors to one of the oldest industries that reflects Bahrain's identity and ancient heritage.
In the heart of Bani Jamra village, among the threads of cotton, wool and silk, the art of weaving is born in Bani Jamra Textile Factory, which embraces a craft that is a source of creativity, economy and culture.
Bahraini textiles are characterized by the use of traditional hand looms about eight meters long that hold hundreds of threads of cotton, wool and silk, decorating the fabrics with geometric patterns and motifs inspired by the sea and the desert, making them a unique piece of art. (end)
