RAMALLAH, Aug 29 (KUNA) -- The Israeli occupation forces on Friday said it ended what it termed a temporary "humanitarian pause" in the Gaza Strip, declaring Gaza city a dangerous combat zone.
They said in a release that ground and air operations will continue under political directives and that Israeli occupation is preparing to fully reoccupy Gaza under an operation it calls "Gideon Chariots 2" to take full control.
Limited local pauses followed international pressure amid widespread hunger, however strikes have continued, hitting homes and tents for displaced people, with casualties reported, they mentioned.
They are also ordering residents to leave Gaza for central and southern areas as part of their effort to control the city. (end) nq.lr
