SALALAH, Aug 18 (KUNA) -- Oman's Deputy Ambassador to Kuwait, Shihab Al-Rawas, affirmed Monday on the exceptional Omani-Kuwaiti relations in this region, which he described as based on deep-rooted historical ties that unite the two countries and their peoples.
In a statement to KUNA, following his meeting with a visiting Kuwaiti media delegation in Salalah, Dhofar Governorate (southern Oman), Al-Rawas said that what distinguishes the deep-rooted relations between the two countries is the keenness of the two political leaderships to enhance cooperation in various fields, which benefits the two peoples and embodies their common destiny.
He noted the media communication between the two sides, which constitutes an important tributary to supporting bilateral relations and consolidating their bonds, "which will always remain a source of pride and honor."
The ambassador added that media delegations represent true bridges of communication between peoples, as they contribute to conveying a true picture of the reality of relations between countries and reflect historical and cultural commonalities, thus enhancing rapprochement and opening up broader horizons for bilateral cooperation.
Al-Rawas pointed out that the Kuwaiti media delegation's visit to Dhofar Governorate coincides with the Dhofar Autumn Season, which transforms it into an exceptional tourist destination, boasting stunning nature, a temperate climate, and unique environmental and cultural assets. (end)
