CAIRO, Aug 4 (KUNA) -- Egypt's 2025 Senate elections opened on Monday with early turnout nationwide, notably driven by women and youth.
Party volunteers were seen assisting elderly voters and people with disabilities to the ballot boxes, exemplifying civic duty.
The National Election Authority reported calm, orderly voting inside more than 8,000 polling stations, each under full judicial supervision and police security.
Polls remain open until 9: p.m. over two days, with preliminary first-round results due on August 12, the Authority explained. (end)
