BAGHDAD, July 17 (KUNA) -- Around 50 people passed away when a fire erupted last night in a mall in Iraqi Al-Kout area, Governor of Wasit Mohammad Al-Mayahi stated.
In a statement, Al-Mayahi mourned the demise of those who passed away in the incident, and announced three days of mourning.
The governor vowed to announce more details, as well as preliminary investigation results within the next 48 hours.
He also promised to hold perpetrators accountable. (end) ahh.aai
