KUWAIT, July 13 (KUNA) -- Embassy of India in Kuwait officially launched on Sunday the e-visa service for Kuwaiti nationals.
The Indian ambassador to Kuwait, Dr Adarsh Swaika, said in a press conference that this step is a crucial step in facilitating travelling processes, as well as strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries.
The e-visa service is completely online on the embassy's website (www.indianvisaonline.gov.in), without any need for embassy visits, and it includes five visa categories, tourism, business, medical (ayush-yoga) and more, the ambassador added.
He said that the new tourist visa is valid for five years, the business visa for up to one year, the medical visa for up to 60 days.
The service costs between USD 40 and USD 80 depending on the visa duration, and the required documents are listed on the designated application website. Processing typically takes three to four days.
The ambassador confirmed that the Indian consulate in Kuwait will continue accepting paper visa applications as before, noting that biometric fingerprints will be collected at various airports in India from arriving Kuwaiti travelers. (end) yt.dm
