KUWAIT, July 7 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Sabah affirmed on Monday that the Joint Command and Staff Course is a key milestone in preparing officers for leadership roles and decision-making responsibilities across various military positions.
This statement was issued by the Ministry following Sheikh Abdullah Al-Sabah's patronage and attendance of the graduation ceremony for the 29th Joint Command and Staff Course. The cohort included 125 officers, 75 from the Kuwaiti Army, 4 from the Ministry of Interior, 10 from the National Guard, and 36 from the armed forces of friendly and allied nations.
Sheikh Abdullah praised the college and its faculty for their efforts in developing curricula and training methods in line with the latest scientific and military standards, aimed at producing well-qualified military leaders.
He also welcomed the strong participation of officers from the Ministry of Interior, National Guard, and allied countries, reflecting deep military cooperation and partnerships with Kuwait. He congratulated the graduates on their success.
He prayed for Kuwait to remain blessed with security, stability, and pride under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
For his part, Air Vice Marshal Fahad Al-Khurainej, Commander of Mubarak Al-Abdullah Joint Command and Staff College, stated that after nearly three decades since its establishment, the college is now reaping the fruits of its academic reputation, thanks to the efforts of successive military leaderships.
He highlighted the role of instructors in advancing the college by building modern curricula and training systems that equip officers with the ability to understand and analyze operational and strategic environments, enabling sound and well-informed decision-making.
Al-Khurainej emphasized the importance of keeping pace with rapid changes, especially in technology, information transfer, and artificial intelligence, to enhance the readiness of the armed forces and safeguard national security.
The graduation ceremony was attended by Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Meshal Al-Sabah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense; Air Vice Marshal Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Ali Al-Adwani, and Major General Dr. Faleh Shujaa, Assistant for Operations and Training at the National Guard, along with senior military commanders and heads of military attachأ© offices in Kuwait.
