RIYADH, July 1 (KUNA) -- Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General Jassem Al-Budaiwi held talks, Tuesday, with Japanese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Yasunari Morino, on the latest developments in the ongoing Free Trade Agreement negotiations between the two sides.
In a statement, the GCC General Secretariat said the discussions took place during Ambassador Morino's visit to the Secretariat's headquarters in Riyadh.
The meeting also reviewed preparations for the Secretary General's upcoming visit to Japan later this week, as well as progress on the GCC-Japan Joint Action Plan for 2024-2028, which outlines a roadmap for strengthening the strategic partnership.
The two officials also exchanged views on key regional and international developments. (end) as.sam
