BEIJING, June 27 (KUNA) -- China confirmed on Friday that it and the U.S. had reached additional understandings regarding the export of rare earth minerals to the U.S., while Washington would cancel restrictive measures on Beijing.
China will review and approve the export applications of items under export control rules, as the U.S. will cancel a range of existing restrictive measures imposed against China, according to a statement released by China's Ministry of Commerce.
"China will approve the export application of controlled items that meet the conditions in accordance with the law. The United States will cancel a series of restrictive measures taken against China accordingly," the ministry said.
It hoped that the US would work with China to reach halfway and implement the mechanism of economic and trade consultation between both sides to boost the common ground, limit misunderstanding and promote cooperation. (end) slq.mt
