CAIRO, March 23 (KUNA) -- Egypt on Sunday condemned a recent "terrorist" attack on a mosque in southwest of Niger, which left scores of people dead or injured.
In a press statement, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs voiced absolute support for all efforts exerted by Niger to fight "terrorism" and ensure its security and stability, denouncing all acts targeting all places of worship and holy sites.
The ministry, further, offered sincere condolence and consolation to the government and people of Niger and the victims' families, while wishing a swift recovery of those injured in the mosque attack.
The government of Niger on Saturday declared three days of mourning following the attack on a mosque in the country's southwest that killed at least 44 people. (end) ism.mt
