DOHA, Feb 26 (KUNA) -- Qatar's Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov discussed a potpourri of regional and international issues on Wednesday.
The Qatari Amiri Diwan said in a statement that this came during the Amir reception of Lavrov, as they discussed ways to develop cooperation in the energy and investment fields, as well as key regional and international developments.
Lavrov had also held discussions with Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdurrahman on latest developments of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, in addition to the current situations in the Gaza Strip and occupied Palestinian territories, Syria, and Lebanon.
The two ministers also discussed Qatar's efforts within the joint mediation effort that contributed to reaching a ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
The Qatari Prime Minister restated his country's support for all international efforts to find a peaceful solution to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict through dialogue and diplomatic means. (end)
