VIENNA, Dec 12 (KUNA) -- Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi on Thursday condemned a recent attack on an IAEA vehicle near the nuclear power plant in Zaporizhzhya in Ukraine.
The attack was direct and premeditated and intended to terrorize workers in the nuclear safety field, Rossi said, addressing the emergency meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors, held to discuss the nuclear issue in Ukraine.
Grossi confirmed that the attack was carried out with a drone, packed with explosives and set to go off on impact. The rear part of the vehicle was damaged but the crew members were not hurt, he added.
The targeted vehicle was part of a convoy, GrossI said. (end) amq.rk
