AMMAN, July 18 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Judo players won Thursday 14 medals at the West Asian Judo Championship for Youth and Juniors, currently held in Amman.
Kuwait topped rankings in the junior singles contests, winning four gold medals, two silver medals, and three bronze medals.
It came second in the youth singles contests, with two gold medals and three bronze medals.
In junior singles contests, Kuwaiti player Khaled Al-Kandari won the gold medal at under the 60 kg category.
His compatriot Anas Bougmaz won the gold medal in the under-81 kg category, and Hussein Mahawish won the gold medal under-90 kg category. Abdullah Al-Daihani won the gold medal at the over 90 kg category.
Player Ali Al-Ramzi won the silver medal in the under-55 kg category, and Mishari Marzouq won the silver medal in the under-66 kg category.
Sultan Al-Otaibi won the bronze medal in the under-50 kg category, Saud Al-Enezi won the bronze medal in the under-60 kg category, and Turki Al-Enezi won the bronze medal in the under-81 kg category.
In the youth contests, Shihab Al-Salman won the gold medal in the under 90 kg category, and Muhammad Issa won the gold medal in the under-100 kg category.
