CAIRO, June 12 (KUNA) -- Egypt on Wednesday expressed condolences to the State of Kuwait over the apartment building fire that claimed 49 lives.
Ambassador Ahmad Abu Zaid, the foreign ministry spokesman, said in a statement that Egypt prays for souls of those who have perished in the tragic occurence and wishes the injured rapid recuperation.
Kuwait officially announced that 49 people perished in a fire that gutted an apartment building in Al-Mangaf, southern Kuwait. (end) aff.rk
