TEHRAN, Jan 28 (KUNA) -- Iran said on Sunday it simultaneously launched three satellites into the orbit using Simorgh (Phoenix) rocket.
The three satellites, named Mehda, Kayhan-2 and Hatef-1, were launched altogether carried by the rocket Simorgh, which is a two-stage, liquid-fluid designed to place the satellite into a low earth orbit, said the Iranian TV.
Mehda, which weights 32 kg, with the goal of evaluating the Simorgh rocket's efficiency in transporting several payloads into the space.
Kayhan-2 is a nanosatellite weights less than 10 kg, designed to determinates and control subsystems to aim stably and precisely towards the earth.
Hatef-1 is also a nanosatellite with the same weight, seeks proving the use of narrowband communication technology in the internet of things (IoT). (end) mw.sm
