BERLIN, Dec 6 (KUNA) -- Germany on Wednesday said that the EU member states will discuss possible sanctions on radical Israeli settlers.
In a press conference, a spokesman for the Federal Foreign Ministry said that Germany welcomes the American decision taken by Washington in this regard and considers it "important to move forward in conducting a European discussion" on this issue.
The spokesman said that the German government will seek, at the next European Union foreign ministers' meeting, to make progress in this regard.
The German statements come one day after the US announced that it would ban the entry of extremist Israeli settlers into its lands due to violating standards of security, stability and peace in the occupied West Bank. (end) anj.aa
