BEIRUT, May 30 (KUNA) -- The Lebanese army freed a Saudi national, who was kidnapped in Beirut two days ago, said the army Tuesday.
According to the army's official Twitter account, the kidnapped Saudi national Mishari Al-Mutairi was freed after a security operation at the Lebanese-Syrian borders and a number of suspects were arrested.
On his part, Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati affirmed continuous efforts to enhance security and protect Lebanese and other nationals in the country against threats.
He strongly condemned the kidnapping of Al-Mutairi, hailing the efforts of the Lebanese army to resolve the issue. (end)
