ROME, May 15 (KUNA) -- Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani affirmed on Monday Rome would continue to provide military support to Ukraine and stressed that there could be neither negotiations nor a truce before withdrawal of the Russian forces from the country.
Tajani, in an interview excerpts of which were published by the Italian Foreign ministry, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenski, during his European tour, won an affirmation of the European nations and NATO's commitment to stand on Ukraine's side.
Forecasting that the war would continue throughout 2023, Tajani said it would be quite hard to achieve peace as long as Russia pursues its "hostile" acts.
A truce can only be worked out if the Russians withdraw, Tajani said. (end) mn.rk
