CAIRO, May 9 (KUNA) -- The Arab Parliament Tuesday denounced the "brutal" Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, which has led to the death of dozens and wounding scores of Palestinians.
In a statement, the Parliament called on the international community to shoulder its responsibility and work to stop the repeated attacks against the "defenseless" Palestinian people, who demand their legitimate rights to establish their independent state.
These continuous practices against Palestinian people confirm Israel's refusal to obey and abide by the resolutions of international legitimacy and is leading the region to more violence and instability, the statement added.
The statement renewed the call for taking positive and serious stances to stop the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, stressing the necessity of brining the perpetrators of these crimes against Palestinians to accountability.
Earlier, forty aircraft, helicopters and drones carried out the airstrikes on the Palestinian enclave, killing at least 12 Palestinians, including children, women and Islamic Jihad leaders. (end) mfm.sam
