RAMALLAH, March 25 (KUNA) - A group of Israeli military forces stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque, Muslims' third holiest place of worship, late Saturday and forcibly expelled Muslim worshippers.
In a press statement, the Occupied Jerusalem Governorate said the Israeli forces had thrown sound bombs at and beaten the worshippers to push them out of the Mosque.
It added that the forces also detained two of the worshippers after vacating the Holy Mosque.
The Israeli action prompted many Palestinians in the Occupied city of Jerusalem to take to the streets to protest the attack on the Muslims holy place and worshippers, the statement noted. (end) nq.ibi
