KUWAIT, March 18 (KUNA) -- Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al-Homoud Al-Sabah annual shooting tournament came to a close Saturday and honored the winners.
The three-day event held at Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Complex included some Kuwaiti shooters.
Speaking to reporters after attending the closing ceremony, President of the Asian Shooting Confederation and honorary head of the Kuwaiti Shooting Club Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Homoud Al-Sabah said that the championship witnessed high levels, mainly promising male and female shooters.
He added that Kuwait's shooting has made progresses on Olympic and international levels, wishing Kuwaitis shooters to qualify for Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Shooter Abdulaziz Al-Saad came first in 'Skeet', while Naser Al-Maqlad won the first position in 'Trap'.
Shooter Ali Al-Mutairi won the title of the competition in the 10-m air rifle contest, while the first place in 10-m pistol went to Hamad Al-Nimshan. Hassan Al-Failakawi won the title in the 25-m rapid pistol.
In women's completions, Sara Al-Hawal won the 'Trap' first place and Iman Al-Shamaa won the same position in 'Skeet' contest.
The event also included some shooters who won in a number of varied completions. (end) fs.tab.hm
