BAKU, Feb 28 (KUNA) -- The Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center, located in Azerbaijani capital of Baku, is an architectural marvel telling the story of Azerbaijani past and future.
The center, inaugurated back in 2012, offers visitors a unique perspective intermingling heritage and modernity as it features both traditional musical instruments, rugs and clothing, and visions of the future.
Late Architect Zaha Hadid designed the center with curved and flowing structures to mimic the country's unique topography.
Hadid, with her simple yet masterful design, was awarded the Design Museum's Design of the Year Award in 2014 as it had become a national touristic emblem. (end) mjz.aai
