IRBIL, Feb 6 (KUNA) -- An earthquake measured at 4.7 on Richet Scale hit the Kurdistan region, northern Iraq this morning, and was felt by the region's residents, without resulting in any damages or casualties, the Transportation and communication Ministry in the Kurdistan region of Iraq announced earlier on Monday.
The Ministry issued a series of precautionary instructions for Kurdistan's inhabitants to better deal with such incidents.
The earthquake that struck Turkiye and Syria, and Iraq earlier today is considered the strongest for the last 20 years, it added.
