CAIRO, Feb 6 (KUNA) -- A tremor, caused by 7.7 magnitude earthquake in south Turkiye, was felt across Egyptian lands Monday morning, reported National Research Institute Of Astronomy & Geophysics adding that no losses in lives or property were recorded.
The earthquake took place 691 kilometers away from the north of Rafah town, Head of the institution Dr. Jad Al-Qadhi, commented that it was 18.3 kilometers deep.
Al-Qadhi told Middle East News Agency (MENA) that people in Egypt felt the tremor for about one whole minute, indicating that many aftershocks were recorded more than seven all measuring more than 6 on the Richter scale. (end) rg.aai
