CAIRO, Jan 31 (KUNA) -- The National Museum for Egyptian Civilization allows visitors to embark on a unique journey through time, taking them on an all-engrossing experience from prehistoric centuries to modern-day heritage.
The museum, located in the ancient Islamic capital of Egypt Al-Fustat, has become a beacon of culture, civilization, science, and research as it is home to more than 50,000 artifacts from Protodynastic Period, to Pharaonic, Greek, Roman, Coptic, and Islamic centuries all the way to modern heritage.
The Royal Mummy hall is perhaps the museum's most sought-after exhibition, displaying around 22 mummies and 17 coffins transported from Cairo's Tahrir Square in a lavish parade watched by the entire world back in 2021. (end) asm.aai
