BAGHDAD, Jan 28 (KUNA) -- An earthquake measuring 4.6 degrees on the Richter scale rocked Mandali Town in Iraq's northeastern governorate of Diyala on Saturday, according to Iraqi Meteorological Authority.
The quake took place at 4:53 pm local time (1:53 pm GMT) and the epicenter was 12 km northeast Mandali Town, the authority said in a press statement.
No causalities or damage was reported following the tremor, it said, adding that the quake was felt by the people of Diyala and several suburbs of the capital, Baghdad. (end) aah.mt
