CAIRO, Jan 28 (KUNA) -- Egypt warned Saturday of "the grave dangers" of the ongoing escalation in the occupied territories, calling for exercising maximum restraint and stopping aggression and provocative measures.
This came in a statement by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in which it urged to avoid slipping into a cycle of violence, which worsens the political and humanitarian situation and undermines efforts to revive the peace process.
US State Department announced that Secretary of State Anthony Blinken will start a three-day tour tomorrow, Sunday, that will begin with a visit to Egypt, then the West Bank and Israel, to discuss a group of issues, most notably efforts to advance the "two-state solution." (end) rg.aa
