KUWAIT, Jan 23 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Foreign Minister Sheikh Salem Al-Sabah discussed with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba over the phone on Monday latest developments on Kyiv's conflict with Russia.
Kuwait remains firm in its stance towards the Russia-Ukraine war, which underlines "commitment" to international laws and UN conventions, the Kuwaiti foreign minister emphasized.
He went on to voice Kuwait's backing of all efforts aiming to put in place a ceasefire and subsequent peaceful resolution to the conflict, one that complies with UN principles, the minister said.
In return, the Ukrainian foreign minister expressed gratitude over the outpouring of Kuwaiti aid given to Kyiv, saying such assistance has helped the Ukrainian people cope with the misery of war. (end) amh.nam
