BASRA, Jan 9 (KUNA) -- Kuwait National Football Team Coach Rui Bento said on Monday that the team will do whatever necessary to win against the UAE on Tuesday in the second round of the 25th Arabian Gulf Cup.
"Even though we lack time, we are building a team for the future with youth and amateurs, as the main target in mind is to gain experience, but that does not mean we will not perform," said Bento in a press conference held in Basra.
On his part, Kuwait National Team Player Faisal Zayed said that the UAE has a good team from with professional players, but the Kuwaiti team aims to achieve a positive result in the match.
The Kuwaiti national football team lost the first round of the tournament against Qatar and seeks to improve its situation in Group B alongside the UAE and Bahrain. (end) aa.bb
