BAGHDAD, Jan 8 (KUNA) -- Iraqi National Football Team coach Jesus Casas described their upcoming match with Saudi Arabia in the 25th Arabian Gulf Cup football tournament as being "hard" because both teams have the same style of playing.
In a press conference held in Baghdad, Coach Casas called on the Iraqi fans to support the team against Saudi Arabia.
Casas affirmed the importance of this match, the necessity of improving their performance, and fulfilling their future aspirations of qualifying to the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Iraq is set to face Saudi Arabia in the second round of Group A on Monday. The Saudi team has the lead with three points for their win over Yemen in the first round of the tournament, whereas Iraq and Oman share the second place for their draw. (end) ahh.bb
