KUWAIT, Dec 27 (KUNA) -- In 2022, the State of Kuwait has lost a number of dignitaries and figures, mainly astronomer Dr. Saleh Mohammad Al-Ojairi and sormer speaker of the National Assembly Mohammad Al-Adsani.
Jan 31: Member of Kuwait Art Association Yousef Al-Qatami, passed away at the age of 73 after a long and fruitful career.
Feb 10: Kuwaiti Astronomer Dr. Saleh Mohammad Al-Ojairi, passed away at the age of 101 years. March 6: Influential Kuwaiti political figure Dr. Ahmad Al-Khatib passed away at the age of 95.
March 8: Former MP Ghannam Al-Jamhoor Al-Mutairi passed away at the age of 91.
March 13: Former member of the Municipality board, Marzouq Abdulwahab Al-Marzouq passed away at the age of 100.
March 20: Former MP and political figure Abdullah Al-Naibary passed away at the age of 85.
May 30: Kuwaiti educator Aziza Mohammad Al-Bassam passed away at age 84. She was a pioneer in the educational scene in Kuwait and the person behind the establishment of the first women library in the country.
July 20: Suleiman Al-Mulla, a pioneer in Kuwaiti and Gulf music and songwriting, passed away at age 69.
