ISLAMABAD, Dec 23 (KUNA) -- At least one police officer was killed and four others were injured in a suicide blast on a security checkpoint in Pakistan's federal capital Islamabad on Friday.
In a statement, Deputy Inspector General of Police Sohail Zafar Chattha said at the crime scene that "a suspicious vehicle" with a man and a woman was spotted by the police in Islamabad's I 10/4 area. The injured have been moved to the nearest government-run hospital, while security forces cordoned off the area and initiated investigation into the incident.
