RAMALLAH, Dec 7 (KUNA) -- The Palestinian Ministry of Health said the Israeli occupation forces shot and killed Mujahed Hamed, 32, near Silwad town, to the northeast of Ramallah, on Wednesday evening.
Hamed's martyrdom rose the number of Palestinian martyrs from Israeli gunfire since the beginning of the year to 213, including 161 in the West Bank and 52 in Gaza Strip, according to a press release from the Ministry.
Meanwhile, an Israeli military spokesperson claimed that the Palestinian young man carried out the shooting attack on an Israeli military post in Ofra settlement, in northern West Bank.
Martyr Hamed a former detainee who spent nine years of his lifetime at Israeli jails.
He had been freed in 2020 after 42-day hunger strike in protest at the so-called administrative detention, according to a press release from the Palestinian Prisoners Club. (end) nq.tma.gb
