NEW YORK, Dec 2 (KUNA) -- The State of Kuwait has affirmed at an international quarter necessity of sports to build sound communities.
The Kuwaiti view was expressed by the diplomatic attache of the Kuwaiti mission, Mubarak Saleh Abdullah, during a session of the UN General Assembly, discussing the notion, "sports for peace and development." The best investment is the investment in human resources, he said, noting that sports help immune the youth against extremism, noting that Kuwait, years back, had formed the ministry of youth and the public authority for youth and sports. He also singled the great role played by the Kuwaiti Club for Disabilities "that has incubated special challenges' athletes of steel will." Kuwait through its 2025 vision affirms the women pioneering role in sports, he said, noting the national efforts for establishing clubs for female athletes. (end) asf.rk
