MOSCOW, Nov 26 (KUNA) -- Belarus Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei has died at the age of 65, spokesperson of his ministry Anatoly Glaz announced on Saturday.
The spokesperson failed to elaborate on the cause of the minister's demise, according to the Russian Tass News Agency.
Meanwhile, spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria V. Zakharova expressed Russia's shock at his sudden death.
Makei represented Belarus at the Council of Europe, chaired the department of European cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and acted as presidential aide before being named as the country's top diplomat in 2012. (end) os.tma.gb
