KUWAIT, Oct 4 (KUNA) -- Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Lt-Gen. Anwar Al-Barjas inaugurated on Tuesday Al-Rawda and Hawally service center for the elderly people and persons with disability (PWDs), the first such specialized center in Kuwait.
The center aims to facilitate the access of the elderly and PWDs to government services, according to a press release from the Ministry's General Directorate of Security Relations and Media.
The ministry is studying the possibility of leveraging the experiment across all governorates of Kuwait, it said, noting that Lt.-Gen. Al-Barjas was briefed on the services provided by the center.
He thanked those in charge of this work along with the great cooperation between the Ministry and Al-Rawda and Hawally Cooperative Society in establishing this center, which is a role model in completing transactions with ease.
The opening ceremony of the center gathered Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Nationality and Residency Affairs Major General Waleed Al-Tarwa, Director General of the Public Relations and Security Media Department Major General Tawhid Al-Kandari, Director General of the Service Centers Department Brigadier Saad Al-Hamlan and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Rawda and Hawally Cooperative Society Mohammad Al-Kandari.
