ADEN, Oct 3 (KUNA) -- The Yemeni Prime Minister Maeen Abdulmalek Saeed on Monday called on the international community to condemn the hampering and refusal of Houthi militants to adapt the peace talks, after the tumbling of global efforts to extend the humanitarian truce ongoing in the country since the beginning of last April.
"We heard the international community clear voice in its call for peace, and we sincerely responded to this call, and are waiting today to for the same strength and clarity in condemnation of Houthi's hampering and refusal for peace", he added in press remarks today.
"The appeasing policy to Houthis does not work to boost opportunities of peace, and only push them for more stubbornness", Yemen's Prime Minister added.
The Houthi militants chose the war option and wasted all chances for peace that formed in various incidents since 2004, until 2014, as well as the Yemen negations that took place in Yemen and Stockholm, until nowadays, he added.
The peace, which Yemenis seek "means clearly halting the war, tyranny and arrogant discriminatory practices carried out by the Houthis", he affirmed.
The Ambassador of the European Union (EU) to Yemen Hans Grundberg expressed yesterday his great disappointment for not reaching an agreement to extend the truce, as it reached the end of its second extension, after the eligible government agreed to his imitative of six months extension, as the Houthis refused it.
