KUWAIT, Oct 2 (KUNA) -- Minister of Health Dr. Khaled Al-Saeed issued on Sunday a decree to launch a crisis management canter in Kuwait to coordinate efforts of various sectors of the Ministry in the face of future emergencies. The new center, equipped with the latest techniques and chaired by Abduallah Al-Kandiri, is affiliated to the Minister's Office, according to a press release from the Ministry.
The center will provide a database that could allow decision-makers in the country to take the timely measures and precautions in a systematic manner in accordance with the status quo of the emergency to minimize damage.
The launching of the center reflects the Ministry's keenness on upgrading the healthcare system and raise its preparedness for crises such as huge fire, earthquakes, floods and epidemic diseases according to accurate plans, the statement noted.
The center will be working around the clock to ensure practical monitoring of all hospitals countywide. It will connect visually the various sectors of the Ministry, including ambulances, casualty wards of hospitals and field teams, to coordinate their response to the emergencies according to the highest possible standards.
