WASHINGTON, Sept 28 (KUNA) -- US Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke with Danish Foreign Minister Jeppe Kofod about the "apparent sabotage" along the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 pipelines, the Department of State announced on late Tuesday.
State Department Spokesperson Ned Price said in a statement that the US "remains united with our Allies and partners in our commitment to promoting European energy security." Denmark reported a leak in the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline, a day after detecting other gas leaks in the Nord Stream 2, raising suspicions about a deliberate act of sabotage.
Both pipelines transport Russian gas to Germany via the Baltic Sea. (end) si.rk
