(Photo-feature) PARIS, Sept 27 (KUNA) -- The historically renowned Richelieu Library in the heart of the French capital had returned fully renovated to display valuable and rare contents.
The 58,000 square meters facility -- home to 22 million documents, manuscripts, collections, and antiquities -- began renovation in 2010.
It was named after Cardinal Armand Jean du Plessis de Richelieu, who lived in the late 16th to the early 17th centuries.
The library reopened its 1936 majestic oval reading room, which was dedicated to research until 1998. The room has around 20,000 books available. (end) mao.gta
