AMMAN, Aug 25 (KUNA) -- Syria's official Syrian News Agency (SANA) reported that an air attack with missiles targeted Thursday, the vicinity of the cities of Hama and Tartous.
The agency quoted a military source as saying that the Syrian air defense "responded at 19:15 PM (local time) to an Israeli air aggression coming from the sea, targeting southwest (Tartous) and the vicinity of the cities of Hama and Tartus." adding "most of the aggression's missiles were shot down." The Israeli occupation continued to target Syrian territory since the outbreak of the Syrian crisis in 2011.
Last week, Israeli air forces targeted Damascus and Tartous countryside, killing three soldiers and wounding three others. (end) ab.mb
