WASHINGTON, Aug 16 (KUNA) -- The US, Japan and South Korea participated from August 8-14 in a "missile warning and ballistic missile search and tracking exercise" off the coast of the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) in Hawaii, the Pentagon announced Monday evening.
The Pentagon said in a statement the US, Japanese and South Korea participants "shared tactical data link information in accordance with a trilateral information sharing agreement." The statement added that this exercise demonstrated the commitment of three countries "to furthering trilateral cooperation to respond to DPRK (Democratic People's Republic of Korea) challenges, protecting shared security and prosperity and bolstering the rules-based international order."
