By Arwa Al-Wuggayan KONYA, Turkey, Aug 9 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Yacoup Al-Yoha qualified for the Islamic solidarity games final after winning the first position in the 110-M race at 36:13 second on Tuesday.
Speaking to KUNA, Al-Yoha hoped that he could make a record in tomorrow's match.
Meanwhile, head of the Kuwait Athletics Association Sayir Al-Enezi said that the Kuwaiti team won the bronze medal and the competition was strong.
He hoped that Kuwait's female and male athletes would achieve new titles and raise Kuwait's status at international arenas.
Kuwait is participating in the games hosted by the Turkish city of Konya with 60 male and female athletes vying in ten games including karate, swimming, judo and shooting.
The tourney will run until August 18 with the participation of about 6,000 athletes of more than 50 Islamic countries. (end) akw.hm
