MOSCOW, Aug 4 (KUNA) -- Russia has expelled on Thursday the Norwegian Consul General in the city of Murmansk, northwest of Russia, Elisabeth Ellingsen for uttering anti-Russian statements.
The Foreign Ministry said that the Norwegian diplomat was caught on camera saying, "I hate Russians" during an angry outburst at an hotel reception.
It added that such statements were unacceptable.
The ministry stated that it took into consideration the Norwegian Foreign Ministry's apology over the incident; however, Ellingsen would not be welcomed on Russian soil. (end) as.gta
