NEW DELHI, June 29 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's al-Kuwait reached final after defeating their compatriots Qadsia (20-25) in the semi final match of 24th Asian Menآ’s Club League Handball Championship being held in India's Hyderabad . Al-Arabi of Qatar are poised to take on al-Najma of Bahrain at 8PM today and the winners will play the final against al-Kuwait tomorrow while the loosers will fight for the third and fourth positions. Qadsia had occupied the first position in the Group A with five points after defeating India's T-Sports (37-24) and al-Arabi of Qatar (24-16) and maintaining draw with Saudi's Al-Noor (29-29). Al-Kuwait of Kuwait had reached the second position in the Group B with four points after crushing Al-Wakrah of Qatar (33-23) and Iranian Mes Kerman (30-17) and lost to al-Najma of Bahrain (29-30).
Al-Najma are leading the Group B with five points as they had won over Mes Kerman (31-25), al-Kuwait (30-29) and secured draw against al-Wakrah (24-24). Al-Arabi of Qatar qualified for semi final after coming in the second position in the Group A defeating Saudi's Al-Noor (29-24) and T-Sports of India (38-19) and going down to Qadsia (16-24). Qatar's Al-Wakrah won over T-Sports (38-28) while Saudi's Al-Noor defeated Iran's Mes Kerman (34-31) earlier today in matches for fifth to eight positions. Saudi's al-Noor will take on Qatar's Al-Wakrah for the fifth and sixth positions on while Mes Kerman will meet T-Sports for the seventh and eight positions. (end) atk.rk
