NEW DELHI, June 27 (KUNA) -- Indian security forces gun down two unidentified militants on Monday in the north state of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Press Trust of India said quoting the Kashmir police that two unidentified militants were killed following an encounter in Nowpora-Kherpora in Trubji area of Kulgam district in Jammu and Kashmir.
Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the area of the district after receiving intelligence inputs about the presence of militants.
The operation turned into an encounter, leading to the killing of two unidentified militants whose identity and group affiliations are being ascertained.
New Delhi accuses Islamabad of supporting and funding the armed groups in Kashmir, claims, which Islamabad denies. (end) atk.gta
