GAZA, May 28 (KUNA) -- Palestinian civil society institutions organized Saturday a sit-in in front of the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) headquarters in Gaza, denouncing the occupation government's permission for dispossessed Jews and settlers to organize a march in the Old City of Jerusalem.
In a statement, the Palestinian NGOs Network said that the participants in the sit-in raised Palestinian flags and carried banners and slogans emphasizing the rejection of Judaization schemes and the temporal and spatial division of the Holy City.
The statement described the settlers' march as "a conspiracy by the extreme right aimed at changing the features of Al-Aqsa Mosque and taking away the Islamic, Arab and Palestinian character, in addition to implementing the temporal and spatial division." (end) wab.aa
