RAMALLAH, May 14 (KUNA) -- Palestine's President Mahmoud Abbas Saturday reiterated that Palestinian people will not be beaten as they have a fair cause and rights.
This came in Abbas' speech on the 74th anniversary of the Nakba that is marked by Palestinians on May 15, Palestine news agency (Wafa) reported.
Abbas called on the international community to stop the policy of double standards and break its silence regarding the situation in Palestine.
Abbas reiterated that national unity and steadfastness of Palestinians are the strongest response to the settlement, Nakba, Judaization, occupation and the injustice against Palestinians caused by the double-standard policy.
The policy of the Israeli governments against Palestinians will not bring security and stability to anyone, Abbas said.
He called on Israel's leaders to halt the denial of the legitimate national rights of Palestinians.
Palestinians in Jerusalem are defending the Palestinian flag everywhere, he said, lauding steadfastness of popular resistance. (end) nq.mmj.hm
