RAMALLAH, May 14 (KUNA) -- A young Palestinian shot and wounded by the occupation Israeli forces 21 days ago has succumbed to his injuries and passed away, the Palestinian news agency, Wafa, said on Saturday.
Walid Al-Sharif, 23, who hailed from Beit Hanina in Jerusalem, who was wounded in the skull and suffered internal bleeding died today, Wafa said.
He had been arrested by the Israeli forces after he was shot.
The occupation forces, over the past weeks, carried out several raids into Al-Aqsa Mosque, attacking worshippers and aiding settlers who wanted to observe some Jews' religious occasions.
Violence and tension stepped up in the occupied territories, over the past days, and a female journalist, Shirin Abu Aqleh, died after receiving a bullet in the head during an Israeli raid in Jenin.
The Palestinian Authority said Israeli troops fired the deadly shot and called for international investigation. (end) nq.rk
